How to Find Books in the Library using the Destiny Book Catalog on a Computer/Laptop
  • Go to http://destiny.aisd.net. Click on Martin High School.
  • Click on the catalog tab at the top.
  • Using Basic Search, type in your topic, author, title, or series and click on Keyword, Author, Title, Subject, or Series. Keyword gets the most results.
  • Use the call number under the title to find the book on the shelf. Look at the end of each shelf to find the range of numbers or letters on that row. The call number will be on the spine of the book. All nonfiction books are in number order. Fiction books are in alphabetical order by call number on the right side of the library, and biographies are on the back and right wall. The college planning and test preparation books are on the left side of the library.
  • Click on the links to the left for information about ebooks and audiobooks.
  • Ask the librarian or library assistant for help if needed.

When you click on the login button while in the catalog, you can see which books you have checked out. You can also compile lists of books for the topic you're researching. Share your book recommendations with others at Martin High School as well. While you're logged in, check out some ebooks to read online or put a hold on a book that's already checked out to someone else. Just use your ID# for the username and your ID# for the password. (Reviews and recommendations are subject to librarian approval before appearing.)
